I have my own home office with organized hard copy research files in numerous areas, my own electronic files and access to online research, including Lexis. Work product is usually delivered through e-mail attachments. I often work at the excellent Alameda County Law Library and, where necessary, at the UC Berkeley Law Library. I am willing to work in my customer's office when necessary (e.g. major document review), but customarily structure my own time.
In production of legal paper, all billed time is productive. Travel time and costs are billed for appearances and when otherwise appropriate.
Statements are sent on the first of the month for work performed during the preceding month and payment is expected within 30 days. I am aware of practical problems lawyers have with clients, but I ordinarily have neither knowledge of nor any participation in my customer's arrangement with the client. All reasonable efforts will be made to assist your billing needs. Other arrangements are negotiable.
